What it’s like to be a PAL leader

Last week Paihia School had a water PAL day. The year 6’s had to step up and run the games. I was paired up with La’shyyah and we hosted a game  called ‘’Fill up the bottle’’. One thing I found hard was that kids were not listening to me when I tried to explain the game. One thing I learnt was that it is not easy to get kids to listen to you and that it’s not too easy to look after kids. I also learnt that it is really hard to organise people into teams. It was really fun squirting the kids with the water gun. One really good lesson I learnt was that I should listen to my teachers when they talk because now I know how it feels not to be listened to. One thing I could do better next time is explain better to those who might not know what to do so that the games that we play go faster and smoother. Another thing that I could do better next time is probably pick an easier game so when I need to explain it will be easier for people to play and the game goes quicker. What game would you run if you were a PAL leader?
