Key Terms summary

Hello viewers, today I am going to be talking about this activity we did in science. The activity is that we had to write the definitions next to the word that’s on the left.

Key Term Definition/explanation
DNA DNA is just a short term of Deoxyribose nucleotides, and it’s also the code of what makes us who we are.
Double helix A double helix is a structure that resembles a twisted ladder formed by DNA. The bases of these twisted ladders are adenine (A), thymine (T), cytosine (C), and guanine (G). A always pairs with T and C always pairs with G.
Nucleotide The twisted ladder-shape DNA forms are composed of three primary components: a sugar, phosphate, and base (adenine, thymine, cytosine, and guanine).
Nucleotide bases Carries the genetic information used for development and functioning of living things. That also consists of a sugar molecule (either ribose in RNA or deoxyribose in DNA) attached to a phosphate group and a nitrogen-containing base.
Complementary base-pairing rule The complementary base-pairing rule is basically the four bases that are connected to one another, and it’s the chemicals that link the sugar-phosphate backbone together.
