YAY! I am a Level 1 Google Certified Educator 
So excited to have completed and achieved. I am now considering the possibility of completing the level 2 exam…and the other external recognition opportunities that are available to us.
Positive Impacts
Attending DFI has actually been transformative for me on multiple levels. Firstly, the immersion in digital tools and technologies has significantly enhanced my technical skills, enabling me to navigate the digital world with confidence and proficiency. Collaborating within a group setting has given me a sense of community and mutual support, enriching my learning experience and broadening my perspectives. Additionally, being part of the Manaiakalani initiative has exposed me to innovative pedagogical approaches, particularly the Learn Create Share (LCS) model, and I have been amazed by the connection and learning that happens across the Manaikalani network of schools. The learning I have done over the past 9 weeks has deepened my understanding of effective teaching and learning practices. Overall, the opportunity to attend DFI has not only empowered me digitally but has also instilled in me a deep appreciation for collaborative learning and cutting-edge pedagogy.
DFI Highlights
Highlights have been building my confidence in using the variety of tools within Google has been instrumental in not only streamlining my workflow but also in facilitating more engaging and interactive teaching and learning experiences for my students. I have really enjoyed the DFI experience and look forward to continuing to grow and develop my digital fluency and classroom practice. I am excited to continue to use the tools I have learned and implement many of them into next term planning, teaching, and learning, especially the multi-modal sites. As mentioned by Dorothy, we will miss the DFI and I truly will. If there is ever a DFI.2 I would sign up in a heartbeat. I have already discussed with my colleague the next Manaiakalani opportunities I would like to be a part of, the RPI, MPI, and the Cook Island Teacher Summit are next on my list.
A massive thanks to Vicki and the other coaches for the facilitation and support over the last 9 weeks, and to the amazing teachers who were in my bubble, it was a pleasure to learn, create, and share with you. I look forward to meeting you all in person one day.
