Over the last 2 weeks I’ve been making a world called Ragjouh, this is my explanation below. Hope you enjoy!
What Is Ragjouh?
Have you heard of the planet Ragjouh? If not I’ll explain everything to you!
The name.
Ragjouh, quite a weird name, originates from the English word rapier, a long sword typically used for thrusting. It’s named after this because the people were deciding what to call it and they really like those swords so that’s what they called it.
The plant.
The staple plant is called “youigth”. It looks like a purple palm frond. When it’s young it glows pink, but when it’s older it glows bluey green. They use it to make bags, blankets and even small furniture like armchairs or bigger ones like a bed or couch. Youigth smells like fresh apples when it’s young and like corn when it’s old.
Clothes and shelter.
In Ragjouh there are lots of different biomes, like cold tundra mountains, warm deserts, grasslands and forests. In the deserts they live in reinforced burrows in the sand. In the tundras they live in cozy cabins. In the grasslands they live in tree houses that are fully furnished and their waste goes down a pipe to be fertilizer for the crops below. In the forests they live in grassy moss bunkers.
Language.
The language of Ragjouh is called Ragineese. In this language every word starts with the same letter as in English so for example water is wasyf, jump is jafk, and drawing is duhig. In Ragineese my name Ted would be Taf and hello is haourg. Ragineese is like a combination of gibberish and English, but it’s quite easy to learn.
Games and Sport.
For fun in Ragjouh the people play games like on Earth for example tag, hide and seek and football. The rules are the exact same as Earth, they were going to change the rules but some people didn’t want to so they had a vote and decided to keep them. Also every game is fair, anyone can play no matter what color they are or if they are special abled there will be a sport for them!
Beliefs and Values.
The main values in Ragjouh are fairness and kindness. Kindness and fairness are the most important values here because with fairness it means that everyone can be able to live and have as much stuff as everyone else and play all the different games together. With kindness it is really important here not to be mean, it’s quite easy because everyone has the same ability to be rich and have good stuff!
The flag.
This is the flag of Ragjouh. The heart is for the biggest value kindness. The lightning bolt, the sun and the moon represent the seasons and the weather and the purple color represents the color of the national plant youigth which is purple.
Reflection.
Ragjouh is different to Weslandia because in Weslandia it’s just in his backyard but Ragjouh is an entire planet! Also the sports are very different because they are the same as normal earth.
