Effects of heat(science)

  1. The four experiments was

melting ice on plastic and on metal the one that melted faster was the one on metal the plastic one took long than 8 minutes= conduction: aim was to observe the ice

purple crystal rising in the beaker the crystal was going everywhere=convention:aim=to see what the permanganate was going to do in the water

imploding can we but the can on a hot plate and went it was hot we put it in cold water and it bad a bang sound.=contraction=aim: to see what would happen when you put the hot can in cold water

hot vs cold potassium permanganate we put hot in one beaker and cold in  another beaker and the hot beaker was making the potassium permanganate was going every where in the beaker.=diffusion aim:=to see where the permanganate would go and what edge.`

2. with the partials we had solid they all stick together with our liquid experiments the partials moved around.

with the can experiment the partial in the can would have been everywhere because it turns into a gas in the can.

3. my favourite experiment was… The can imploded why was that my favourite experiment l loved how when the can with hot water went in the cold water it made a bang and it was so cool and it looked like someone squished the can. What did l learn from the can imploded experiment- l learned that when the hot water from a can and you put it in cold water it makes and bang and squishes the can. My second favourite experiment was the one where we put permanganate in a hot beaker and the purple we

nt everywhere and made a pattern to start with and then it went around in a circle it started to go to the bottom. What did l enjoy l enjoyed how it looked in the beaker when the purple in the water went in a circle like a tornado. What did l learn that it went to the bottom first before anywhere else.

What are the experiments I did.

  • ice melt-we had a metal container and a plastic and we had to same size pieces  of ice on each one and we had to see what one melted faster in the end the ice one the metal melted faster than the one on the plastic.
  • permanganate in a beaker with hot water-it made a really nice pattern and it went to the bottom.
  • can implode-we had a can with boiled water and a plastic container with cold water and we put the can in the cold water it made a big bang.
  • permanganate crystal-we put one permanganate crystal in a dish and we had a look where the crystal was going like how fast it was  going to the edge.

This was my favourite one link.
