On Wednesday the 6th of May we went on a bus and travelled to a church in Ohaeawai, in Ohaeawai we met up with Matua Tu Kaha so he could take us on a walk and tell us a little bit about the place. While on the walk he showed us around a Puriri tree and while looking at the tree we also seen a dead cow.
A while after that we travelled along to have a look at Pauerua maunga and got told a bit of a background story of the maunga then thanked Matua Tu Kaha and made our way to Ruapekapeka.
Once we arrived at Ruapekapeka we grabbed our food bin things and made our way to the playground to start eating, while eating we talked to Bubby, talked amongst ourselves, while others played on the park, after eating we cleaned up and began our walk, we ended up at the cannons and had a little look around then circled up while Whaea Bubby told us abit about the place then we made our way to the Pa to have a look at the trenches which was fun.
