Year 9 Hisroty Trip

On my adventure up to Ruapekapeka we all had to stop and eat, even on the bus. It was so cool to be there with my friends on the trip. I learned about a cool guy, Matua Tukaha. He was there to talk about the history of Ruapekapeka back in the past. We all went to a church in Ohaeawai on the way to Kaikohe on the left side of the road. We all walked to a tree in the paddock. He said this is where the Maori mowed (over powered) the British, we even saw a dead cow. On the next day we visited Russell and the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. We visited the Marae, and Museum and we were able to see Ngatokimatawhaorua. It is so long and old, we all had a good time there.
