In room 12 we have been writing about being kaitiaki to the plants.
In order to be a scientist you need to question, look carefully, hypothesize, collect information and create an action plan. Finally, you need to act on your plan.
Three years ago waitohu students Greater Wellington Council planted two hundred trees and plants.
On Tuesday my scientific mind asked the question, Where are the plants that our school planted.? Using my eyes I searched the field carefully. And I noticed the trees and that was my first time going to the trees.
But before that we found some rocks to put around the little trees so they could grow faster and easier. We had to make a little path so we could get out of there.
I am very excited to go back there next term and see how much progress they have made.
