WALT:use clues from the text to infer meaning.
This week for our book we are reading a book and its called harakeke.Its about this girl call Miria and its the school holidays and shes bored of staying inside for the fifth day in a row.So her mum tells her to weave some flax. Miria gets exited.So she asks her mum if they can go outside right now. mum says no because it’s night and we cant pick flax at night.Miria says okay maybe you can used paper.okay says Miria so she try but it just brakes.She get frustrated and pushes it away.The next morning Miria is hopeful that she can pick flax now but it’s raining.So her mum said no again.Finally it clears up after a while and they can finally go.Mira asks can I cut some?her mum says that she needs to learn the right way two first.Always leave the middle her mum says its the hardest pit to weave.
Create task one
For this create task I did like this thing were I have to put what the people in the book said and say what I think they were thinking for example maria said “Stupid paper” when the paper ripped.So that would make me think that she is frustrated with the paper ripping So I did that about four times on a google drawing.
Crate task two
For this task I did like an entry being Mria and pretending that it is two years in future.and I wrote about what I think Mira would be like on a google docs since you cannot see it well I will write what I said down.Also I will link it

Hi guys
It’s been two years since we have seen each other and some things have changed,but most have stayed the same like my weaving skills and as hard as i try i never can get the tiny bits to stay down correctly.I am now 12 years old and go to a new school.and in the school holidays now i weave flax. If you are wondering, I still listen to mum and never pick flax at night or when it’s raining.
