Ciao,
On Thursday the 18th of June New Brighton Catholic School got a special visit from Monsignor Anthony Figueiredo. Along with the Relics of St. Carlo Acutis.
If you don’t know much about Monsignor Anthony Figueiredo. He is a Catholic priest from New Jersey. And about six years ago, Pope Francis gave him a special job in Assisi, Italy. But today, his main job is to protect and care for a very special treasure: The relics of St. Carlo Acutis.
1. Him and a Relic of St. Carlo Acutis. 2. Him and the Relics held by 2 students.

Although Monsignor Anthony Figueired did give us a visit, he also brought along the relics of St. Carlo Acutis, the main part. Giving us a remarkable experience where we could see, feel, and learn about St. Carlo Acutis and the Relics.
Did you know there are 3 different types of Relics? The First-Class Relics, the Actual physical remains of a saint, such as bone fragments, hair, blood, or flesh. The Second-Class Relics, items or possessions that the saint regularly used or wore during their lifetime, such as clothing, books, or a rosary. And the Third-Class Relics any object (often a piece of cloth, a prayer card, or a medal) that has been touched to a first- or second-class relic.
One Relic of St. Carlo Acutis included Locks of his hair, fragments of his favorite t-shirt and sweaters, the bed sheet from his bed, and the blanket that covered him during his final days. And the other Relic included a section of his pericardium (A sac that surrounds the heart and the roots of the major blood vessels).
Learning about and viewing the relics of St. Carlo Acutis was a truly fascinating experience, especially since it was my first time ever seeing a holy relic. At the end we all got to touch the Relics and say a prayer before leaving the hall, once I finished my prayers I could feel his spirit guiding me.
Since I have already told you the 3 types of Relics, what Relics did Monsignor Anthony Figueired bring in?
Have you seen a Relic before, if so what saint did it belong to?
