STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics

Let’s start with Hydroponics, and soil What are they

Hydroponics is a method of growing plants without soil. Instead, plant roots are placed directly in water mixed with special minerals and food. This helps plants grow faster and use less water than traditional dirt gardens next soil

Soil is the loose, top layer of material that covers the Earth’s surface. It is a living mix of tiny rock pieces, dead plant and animal parts, water, air, and small living things like bugs

In STEAM, we planted seeds last Monday using both hydroponics and regular soil to see which way helps them grow best. I’m rooting for the soil method because I think I added just the right amount of soil to give my seeds a great start! And we did set them up on the windowsill to ensure they get plenty of sunlight. The sunlight helps them grow stronger and faster.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be checking on our plants every couple of days to track their progress. We’re eager to measure their height, count new leaves, and see which method shows the first signs of growth. I can’t wait to see which set of seeds thrives the most!
