Ngatu-tapu cloth

Last week it was Tongan language week and we learned how to make a Ngatu- Tapa Cloth. I enjoyed looking for different Tongan patterns and then drawing them onto the brown paper. It was fun.

These are the instructions: 

Materials

– brown paper.

-pencil and ruler.

-Black,brown permanent markers.

-Earth-toned felts.

Procedure:

1.Crumple the paper into a tight ball.

2.Fold the paper into four squares.

3.Use your ruler and pencil to make patterns and the background too. 

  1. Colour patterns with brown and black markers.
