Year 6 Math!

Kia ora readers,

The year sixes have been looking at four things for math.

The four things are Perimeters, Area, Volume and Capacity.

The meanings for all four are:

Perimeter: The total distance on the outside of a shape.

Area: The inside of a shape and is measured in square units.

Volume: The space that something takes up and is measured in cube units.

Capacity: The amount that can be poured in to something and is measured in litre and milliliters.

We did a test about volume and capacity this week and we took screen shots of it.

Here are the screen shots:

Can you solve the second one?

I hope to hear from you in the comments readers.

Bye bye readers, see you soon.
