The Perfect Gift.

Mreowwwwwww. This place was so gooooood. Not like the other house and its people who were SUPER mean to me. This house was big, with a kind man as my look-afterer. He worked at “home”  { A new word I learnt. } So whenever I came back to the house, the house was toasty warm and there was always food for me. I had something called a “cat house” inside for me. Apparently, it’s my bed, so I sleep there and play there. I have a normal routine, wake up, have breakfast, have morning “snooze”, go for a  long ten metre walk, find a half tree to sleep in, go back to the house when the sun is going down and the sky turns orange and yellow and sometimes purple for some reason, and watch my human partner work at a small-big rectangle thing that has an arrow that can move and some small { or big } symbols that appear on the rectangle thing. I always sat on his shoulder and watched in awe as he put his fingers in a crab position and his fingers going tap-tap-tap at some buttons that had the symbols. He pressed a button, and the symbols would disappear. He held a button and the symbols became big like this: FDJGOHTUUOBRSU. It was quite fascinating to watch.

I have been fretting over what to give him as a present when I go away. I was watching the man again. He was a bit frustrated, but I didn’t know why until I figured it out. He was stuck on a problem that was kind of overwhelming, but I was determined to do it for him. That night, when that big circle had its arrow on the number “3”, I sneaked out of his lap and opened his computer. Password….? Hmmmmm, this may be harder than I thought. I pressed some buttons. Some sentences came up. “Try again….?”  So I pressed the symbols that looked like the word “again”. INVALID PASSWORD?!?!? This was soo hard!!! Then I saw a little coloured paper that said: “Password: Cat123.”  Hmmmmm….. I inserted the same symbols it said. Hah! Got in! I went to the website. A LOT OF WORDS!! Fortuanaelty, { how do you even spell fortuanaelty?} I could read. It said if I do the stuff it said, I would get a lot of money. One thing I know about money is that it’s important to humans, but some humans don’t use it wisely and are “stingy” about it while some use it on lots of not good things. A-hah!! I could give this as a present for my human partner!! Some money, especially from the government’s bank account is a great idea! Especially as the government puts my favourite milk at $8.00 a carton!?!? So I decided to do that. I put a number with a lot of zeroes, as the more zeroes it has, the bigger the amount is. That’s when I saw how much money the man had. He had a LOT. And if I did give him the money, won’t he get in trouble? So…. I decided to give him something else.

I hope he likes it. It’s a brown field mouse, freshly caught by me. That – in my opinion – is the

Perfect Gift.
