Hello guys! Welcome to my create task 1, since this is the last week of the term. I will just start the create task theme next term! Anyways, this week we are reading about native animal species predator control, wildlife and why the world should be predator free, they have a goal of finishing that by the year 2050! Which is 24 years later but they only finished 20% and they introduced that millions of years ago! (I think-) I don’t really enjoy the text but it teached me so much things. Everything I read in the text was new. Here are some sentence starters!

I have been learning about… Predators that are making native species endangered.
I created it using… Adobe Express!
Something I found challenging was… Finding facts about the introduced predators.
I am proud of my work because… I spent a lot of time doing this create task.
Something I learned was… Stoats are actually bigger of a threat than I thought.
Anyways, for this create task, we had to make a wanted poster about a predator. I chose the Stoat, they are cute but they are actually a big threat to our native species; the wanted poster was fast but it took a few days since we hadn’t had chance to do our create task once.
I rated this create task a… 2/10 because it took way too long-

Create task 2: Dual Perspective Bush Journal (Creative narrative and point of view)

Hello guys! Today is the last day of school! Anyways, for this create task we had to make a diary entry with 2 animal’s povs (Point of views). One, a predator one focusing on instincts to hunt, and a native bird, focusing on sensory, and sound! I made this on Google Docs and this create task was actually quite fun!
For the native Endemic species (bird) I chose a Kakapo, for the predator I chose a stoat, because stoats have been recently last seen in New Zealand (+more). I’m gonna put in some more sentence starters that match this create task.

Something I found challenging was… Trying to use a lot of descriptive words that fit the emotion!
I am proud of my work Because… This took a long time and I finished it!
Something I learned was… These animals/birds actually have something to focus on!
The create task had a word limit which I think is new! I rated this create task a… 8/10! It was fun, I will just copy and paste the text since.. Embedding or screenshot might turn out weird! Hope you like it! Here it is;
Diary entry of Kakapo
Dear diary,
Hello I’m Kakapo! A native endemic bird species in Aotearoa NZ! To keep myself safe from predators. I learnt to freeze in place when predators come nearby, since I camouflage in the bushes. My heart makes loud thud noises while a predator walks by, with my egg under my body.
Diary Entry of Stoat
Dear Diary,
Hi, I’m a Stoat. I have sharp claws, and teeth which easily makes me an introduced predator. I have to go through a series of obstacles because whenever I smell or see a little tiny bird, my instincts are sharp since I am a predator. I have great sense of smell but sometimes the little birds like to play hide and seek and I’m the seeker.
